Alocasia Melo Albo (TC) is a tissue-cultured variegated form of Alocasia rugosa ‘Melo’, selected for its compact growth and dense, armored foliage. The thick, heavily textured leaves show irregular white to cream variegation against a blue-green base, with each leaf developing unique patterning. Compared to standard Melo, this form grows slower and stays tighter, prioritizing leaf quality over size. The TC origin provides improved availability and uniform structure, while variegation remains unpredictable from plant to plant. A foliage-focused Alocasia best appreciated for texture, weight, and contrast.
