A characteristic of Alocasia
‘‘Alocasia’’ is a plant in the Araceae family, the same as the famous plants we know as Monstera, Philodendron, and so on. The main feature of Alocasia is the stem, rhizomes of the plant, which grows under soil. Plus, the top of the stem overlaps with leaf sheath. Moreover, Alocasia’s buds will sprout around their old stem.
How to grow Alocasia?
Alocasia originates in a tropical forest, so they would love moisture the most, but not too much. A material for planting should allow water to drain freely. Plus, it should be put in an area with soft light because Alocasia can’t be exposed to strong light for too long.

Alocasia Black Velvet has thick dark green leaves. Their leaves look like the shape of a heart. Also, the front side of the leaves is soft like velvet with a silver pattern on them.
Alocasia Dragon Scale has thick and glossy leaves. The front side of the leaves is light yellow with a little bit of dark green all over. Plus, the backside of the leaves is light green while petioles are violet-red.
