The trend of using plants for decoration continues to be popular regardless of the season. Nowadays, many people are increasingly concerned about the environment and are looking to enhance their homes with green spaces. If you’re someone who wants to bring plants into your home but isn’t sure which ones to choose, you’re in the right place! Today, we’ll present a famous plant topic: “Let’s Dive into the Fascinating World of 3 Incredible Plants: the Monstera, Alocasia, and Philodendron!” Let’s take a closer look at the highlights of these three popular plants!
When discussing famous plants, one cannot overlook “the Monstera.” Known for its striking beauty, it is highly sought after and has earned the nickname “Queen of Leaves.” Monstera originates from Central America, thriving in the humid tropics and often found in forests. This elegant plant is commonly grown in pots to help purify the air and enhance home decor. Monstera is a member of the family Aroceae of the genus Monstera, whose scientific name is Monstera deliciosa Liebm. Thai people call it shredded betel or split betel. The word Monstera comes from the Latin ‘Monstrum’, meaning bizarre based on the unusual shape and margin of the leaf. ‘Deliciosa’ means delicious, referring to the fruit of this plant.
When it grows, the edges of the leaves begin to be deeply serrated, which is the origin of the word split betel or shredded betel. When mature, they will have a hole in the middle of the leaf. Some species, such as Monstera obliqua, have a lot of holes, and the leaves are quite tender, requiring special care. When the mutation occurs, the leaves will be white or mint green, called variegated leaves. The variegated leaves are more expensive than other monstera, such as Monstera Borsigiana Albo and Monstera Deliciosa Mint.
It is an epiphytic plant that creeps up on large trees. Most monstera grows by climbing up a high area. However, there are some species that first grow in a horizontal plane and climb up when mature, such as Monstera Deliciosa Giant.
The short joint is Monstera Giant, which grows slowly and has large and strong leaves. Other types of monstera, such as Monstera Borsigiana and Monstera Adansonii, have longer joints and smaller leaves.

The next popular plant family is called Alocasia. Many people enjoy growing Alocasia plants because they come in a variety of species and are relatively easy to care for. Alocasia belongs to the Araceae family, which includes other well-known plants such as Monstera and Philodendron.

Plus, the top of the stem overlaps with leaf sheath. Moreover, Alocasia’s buds will sprout around their old stem.
For example, heart-shaped leaves, long and pointed leaves, shield-like leaves.

Finally, we arrive at the well-known plant family, “Philodendron.” You should consider having at least one or two of these plants in your home, as they are easily accessible. Their prices can range from affordable to expensive, depending on the rarity of the species. Additionally, Philodendrons belong to the Araceae family, which includes the plants we previously recommended.

Many of the leaves we observe are heart-shaped, serrated, oval, pointed, or elongated.
2. Air purifying plants.
