Nepenthes (TC)

"Nepenthes" is one of the famous Carnivorous Plants. It is an ancient plant since the Greek period. The name Nepenthes comes from the word 'ne' meaning 'not' and 'penthes' meaning 'sorrow'. Therefore, it means that there is no suffering. Unlike other plants, this unique carnivorous plant does not have leaves because it has adapted its leaves to be like a pot and lures insects with vibrant colors like burgundy or pinkish red. With the ability to trap insects, people like to plant it for decorating their homes. Most Nepenthes prefer 50-80% light and should receive at least 5 hours of sunlight per day. Besides, it is a moisture-loving plant, so it is essential to keep the soil moist at all times.
